Photographing First Communion at St. Peter Cathedral in Marquette, MI
Marquette, MI – May 4, 2016 – Having taken photographs at St. Peter Cathedral for a project earlier in the year, I was asked if I would be interested in taking on an brand new experience. St. Peter Cathedral of Marquette wanted us to photograph First Communion this month!
This past Sunday we attended mass and set up to photography each of the kids! The event started with a grand procession of the children down the main aisle of the church. The kids entered by walking under the arched swords of the Knights of Columbus.
After mass, I was able to take the time and get photos of some of the children right in front of the gorgeous alter display. It wasn’t hard to get great photo memories for the families with all of the kids dressed in their Sunday best.
I had a great time trying out something new and experiencing my first Catholic mass. If you’re interesting an checking out the photos from this event, view the gallery here!
