Each quarter at mediaBrew Communications, formerly Great Lakes Radio, the station would host a large party and given away a special prize donated by a local business. For this promotion, we were giving away one of our most popular prizes, a chance to get out of the U.P. during the winner! Each quarterly giveaway requires print materials. We needed 24×32″ posters made, 8.5×11″ bucket images, plus three different sheets for the sales team as promotional materials to help sell sponsorship. There are also party invites to be design and winner sheets to be created for when the finalists are selected. The station also had a full online promotion of the event that matched our efforts in print and on air – web banners, online contest page, articles, and more. The quarterly giveaways are a great example of promotions though out for online, print, and on air.
This time we gave away a $3,500 sled like machine that tops out at 18-20 miles per hour. It was the perfect tool for any outdoor loving Yooper and a big success! Like mentioned before, this promotion required a set of print materials to pair with what was being promoted online and on air.
Also included are a few other events I designed promotional work. The Marquette West Rotary had a poster made through a local print company, but wanted yard signs to match with details about the event. Working from a pdf of the poster, I created yard signs using the same text and colors from the poster to keep the design consistent.
